Aside from its work onstage, Opera on the Avalon is committed to civic impact though active community participation to raise collective consciousness of our past while contributing to the cultural and civic tapestry of our future. In addition to its productions, concerts and recitals, Opera on the Avalon undertakes a wide variety of specially developed education and outreach programs and events for those in our community, including at risk youth, indigenous communities and new Canadians.

Through the magic and power of music, Opera on the Avalon is a reminder of the primary reason for the inherent value of the creative industries: life-enhancing, entertaining, and defining of our personal, provincial and national identities.
