Amy Wilson grew up in Dunville, NL, and owes her love of theatre to her decade long career acting and directing with the Placentia Theatre Festival. Amy holds a Bachelor of Music Education from University of PEI where she majored in vocal performance. Amy is spending her summer touring with Peter MacDonald Productions’ Trummp, the Musical which is being featured at the Edmonton Fringe Festival. Previous credits include Nancy in Oliver!, Sylvia in All Shook Up, Our Divas Do Christmas, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rock of Ages, Impresario, Urinetown, and Sister Act. Amy produced her own holiday show last year entitled We Need A Little Christmas in her hometown which was a sold-out success. In addition to performing, Amy has a Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology and works as a Guidance Counsellor with the NLESD and as a Facilitator for the Growing the Voices’ course, So You Always Wanted to Sing. Amy is forever thankful to her husband, Andrew, and their doggies for all the unconditional love and support.
