American tenor John Lindsey has been praised for his “clarion tone” and “blazing tenor” by Opera News. Recent roles include Froh in Das Rheingold with Arizona Opera; Števa in Janáček’s Jenůfa with Pacific Opera Victoria; Jonathan Dale in Silent Night with Austin Opera; and The Prince in Rusalka with Madison Opera. His 2019/20 season includes Bill in Flight at Pacific Opera Victoria, as well as house debuts at Opéra de Montréal as Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte and Opera on the Avalon as Edward in Ours by John Estacio.
Additional performance credits include Narraboth in Salome, Graf Elemer in Arabella, Ben Marco in The Manchurian Candidate, and Don Jose in Carmen. On the concert stage, he has been heard in Verdi’s Requiem, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Aldridge’s Parables, and Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder in recital. He currently serves on the voice faculty at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
